Associate Laura Provinzino Involved With Post-9/11 Report for Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights

Feb 22, 2007

On February 22, 2007, Minnesota Advocated for Human Rights released a report detailing the impact of 9/11 on the lives of Minnesota’s immigrants, refugees and religious minorities.

Laura Provinzino, an associate in the firm’s Minneapolis office, facilitated the project. She began working on Voices From Silence, Personal Accounts of the Long-Term Impact of 9/11 as a Wellstone Legal Fellow (2004-2006) at Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights. She completed the project – pro bono – after she joined Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P.

"The purpose of the report is to facilitate conversations about how the events of 9/11 have impacted our society --in both policies and attitudes--and how we can best achieve the protection of human rights while ensuring national security. These stories help bring to light the often invisible effects of 9/11 on the day-to-day lives of many Minnesotans," states Ms. Provinzino.

More information about the report can be found through Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights at www.mnadvocates.org.
