Three Entertainment and Media Lawyers Join Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P.

Los Angeles (February 3, 2009) - Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. announced today the addition of three more entertainment and media lawyers, as special counsel, to the Los Angeles office: Marcia J. Harris, Samuel R. Pryor and Bridgette M. Taylor. They join partners Michael J. Plonsker, Yakub Hazzard, and Mark D. Passin and associates Lauren Sudar, Rori Starr Silver, Jeanine Percival Wright, all who recently joined to launch the firm's new Entertainment and Media practice. All nine lawyers previously were with Dreier Stein Kahan Browne Woods George in Santa Monica, Calif., and comprised a significant portion of that firm's Entertainment and Media practice.
Veteran litigators Plonsker and Hazzard are co-chairs of the newly formed Entertainment and Media practice at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. and they previously served in similar capacity for Dreier's entertainment practice. Plonsker focuses on film, television and music, and Hazzard on the music industry and intellectual property issues.
Marcia Harris focuses her practice on entertainment litigation, with a particular emphasis on accounting and profit participation disputes in the television and motion picture industries, and disputes involving talent agencies. Her clients include writers, directors, producers, and actors, as well as talent agencies and personal management companies, and insurance companies insuring risks in the entertainment industry. Harris is a member of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA) Trial Lawyer Honor Society. She was recognized as one of the "Top 75 Women Litigators" by the Los Angeles Daily Journal in 2005. In 2006, she was selected as a WIN Outstanding Woman by the Women's Image Network. She is listed in Chambers USA and is named a "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine.
Samuel Pryor has extensive experience as a trial lawyer in entertainment, business, and employment litigation in state and federal courts. He represents celebrities, motion picture production and distribution companies, producers, directors, writers and other associated with the entertainment industry. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and is named as a "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine.
Bridgette Taylor's complex litigation practice focuses on entertainment and business disputes. She represents writers, directors, producers, actors, recording artists, and talent agencies in the film, television and music industries. In 2006, she was selected as a WIN Outstanding Woman by the Women's Image Network. She has been named a "Rising Star" by Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine.
