Richard Nigon Receives The Spirit of ALA Award

MINNEAPOLIS (June 1, 2009) - Richard Nigon, Chief Financial Officer at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P., was recently awarded "The Spirit of ALA Award," by the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA).
Mr. Nigon, who was presented with the award on May 19 at the 38th Annual ALA Conference in New Orleans, was nominated and selected by the ALA Board of Directors to receive this prestigious honor because of his dedication, commitment and leadership to ALA over the past 20 years. According to the ALA, the award is given to those whose commitment to professionalism, dedication to the advancement of law firm administration and record of long-term service to the Association of Legal Administrators sets the standard for all who aspire to achievement, excellence and success.
Mr. Nigon is an active ALA member, having served in the past as Chapter President, Region 3 Education Officer, and Region 3 Projects Officer prior to being elected to the Board of Directors. He then served as ALA President from 2006-2007. Currently, Mr. Nigon is involved in ALA through speaking, teaching legal management classes, and serving on the board of the ALA's Foundation and chairing the Minnesota Chapter's Education Committee.
