Matthew Woods Appointed Chair of Firm's Professional Development Committee

(February 26, 2009) Matthew Woods, a partner in the Business Litigation department at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P. has been appointed Chair of the firm's Professional Development Committee.
The firm's associate training program ranked fourth in the country by Vault in 2008. The training program, Exceptional Advocate, utilizes local judges and outside jurors in real life courtroom training. Associates try four increasing complex trials over a span of five years.
Mr. Woods' trial experience includes Honeywell International et al. v. Apple et al.; Intergraph v. Hewlett Packard and Gateway; Honeywell Inc. v. Victor Company of Japan and U. S. JVC Corp.; and PSI Repair Service Inc v. Honeywell Inc. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Minnesota State Bar Association, and American Intellectual Property Law Association. He received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law, magna cum laude.
