Firm Represented Guardian ad Litem
Jan 2007
(January 2007) The firm recently represented a Guardian ad Litem of a young baby to terminate parental rights. The baby was born to incarcerated parents with extensive histories of drug use and crime. Our attorneys fought hard to uncover the underlying evidence for the case in the face of strong opposition from the parents' attorneys and while safeguarding substantial privacy concerns. Prior to trial, our attorneys negotiated a voluntary termination for one of the parents and on the first day of trial, after hearing some of the evidence our attorneys uncovered, the other parent conceded to voluntary termination as well. The baby will now be free to be adopted.
