  • Practice includes nationwide property loss litigation arising from fires and explosions caused by a wide range of product and construction practices.
  • Experienced in catastrophic property loss, including fires, explosions, hurricanes, floods and other weather-related losses, equipment failures, production facility losses, and losses caused by negligent design and construction.
  • Practice also focuses on coverage disputes on behalf of insureds and insurers, and litigation for subrogated insurers as well as individuals and corporations.
  • Represents businesses in national and international contract disputes.

Mudlin v. Hills Co.: 2007 SD 118 (S.D. 2007) The South Dakota Supreme Court upheld an insurer's right to challenge fairly debatable insurance claims without being liable for the tort of ‘bad faith'.
